- CEN TC 154 Aggregates, SC3 Bituminous bound aggregates

- NVQ in Laboratory and Associated Technical activities – present modules on designing bituminous mixtures, manufacturing, installation and specifications
- National Highways Sector Schemes for Quality Management in Highway Works, Scheme 16 Laying Asphalt Mixes (Advisory Committee Member)
- Member of a research consortium funded by CEDR entitled Recycling: Road construction in a post fossil fuel society.
